What We Do?

We conduct cultural and various social events.

8th January, 1989 witnessed the inception of an idea amongst the resident bengalis in Khopoli of bringing Maa close to home and celebrate Durga Puja in Khopoli. Today the association boasts of approximately 100 families under its banner.

Kali Bari, Khopoli represents a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Kali which has also become a center for Bengali culture in Khopoli, Raigad. Since many years we the members of Prabasi Bengalee Association had a dream of having Kali Bari in Khopoli and after years of effort and faith in the deity, our prayers were answered when Kali Mata fulfilled our dreams in the year 2019.

This all started in the year 1989 with the humble celebration of Saraswati puja which united all the Bengalis of Khopoli. This unity boosted the thought of having the biggest celebration for Bengalis, Durga Puja.
