Kali Bari, Khopoli represents a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Kali which has also become a center for Bengali culture in Khopoli, Raigad. Since many years we the members of Prabasi Bengalee Association had a dream of having Kali Bari in Khopoli and after years of effort and faith in the deity, our prayers were answered when Kali Mata fulfilled our dreams in the year 2019.

Accomplishing the dream of having Kali Bari in Khopoli fulfills the long standing wishes of numerous devotees in and around town. The temple portrays the wholehearted effort by the Members of Khopoli Bengali Association while the holy thought of having a Kali Bari in Khopoli was supported by other local communities as well. Khopoli Municipal corporation and all honorable corporators stood like pillars for this pious intend with their perpetual assistance. Even with all the support, the task in hand and the road ahead to construct this temple was filled with extreme hardship as we faced financial constraints and huddles as big as the COVID-19 Pandemic which shook and stopped the whole world. Times like these showed the true faith and spirit of our Khopoli Bengali Association members who came ahead to ameliorate the pace of work in every possible way. Goddess Kali soon made her presence felt in the temple with a pratima (idol) resembling the one at Dakhineshwar Kali Temple in Kolkata along with Lord Shiva (Shiv ling) and Shree Ganesha.

The Kali Bari was inaugurated on 12th November 2020
